Born in Cortland, N.Y. on July 31, 1969, she was the daughter of Coe "Ike" Wayne Rice and Jacqueline Byrnes Rice of Lincklean, N.Y. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, James William "Jay" Karsner of the home; her brother, Justin Rice of Lincklean, N.Y.; and her paternal grandmother, Midge Rice of Cuyler, N.Y.
