What could have been a dramatic finish Thursday in a tight OHSL Freedom American race ended early today, when Cortland got timely hitting from catcher Parker Williamson and solid pitching from Brian Hughes to defeat Jamesville-DeWitt, 3-1. the Tigers' win, coupled with a Homer loss to Bishop Ludden in 12 innings , gives Cortland the league title.
