One cat shot in the face, another has leg amputated in Cortland Co.

Two cats were shot in Cortland County earlier this month, and the Cortland Community SPCA is asking for help in finding whoever is responsible. Officials say one cat was shot in the City of Cortland on September 8 and the other in the Town of Cincinnatus overnight on September 15. SPCA officials say both cats were shot with a .22 caliber rifle, or a high powered pellet rifle.
